Pioners L’Hospitalet, Spanish champions

L’Hospitalet Pioners won the Spanish Championship, beating clearly Valencia
Firebats by 36-0. The Catalan team had the control of the game during all
the time, with a great Mark Nicolet who was declared MVP of the game, after
throwing for 5 touchdowns. Pioners’ defence also played in a big level,
avoiding every chance of scoring for the Valencia’s powerful offence.

This year, the Pioners have won the Catalan Cup, the Spanish Cup and the
Spanish league, as they did before in 2005 and 2008, with a 15-1 record.
Next season, they will play the EFL, for the seventh time.
